One thing I have found when learning Houdini, is that like always - cleanliness is crucial to the problem you're going to solve. A clear way to organise your graph is to add nice big labels.
I do this with sticky notes.
1.) First, create a sticky note:
2.) Now add some text, set the text to 'Large' and 'Hide Background' via the right click options menu.
3.) Finally, you can colour this text by dragging and dropping from the colour palette, onto your sticky note.
